So I saw something like this on eBay for way to much coin and though "I could do that."

Had a few pieces of galvanized fence tubing laying around. Bought a piece of 1.5" x 3ft flat steel and some pipe insulation. Total cost on this project roughly $10 and 3 beers.

Now I'm no welder but I do have a little wire feed from HF and can make things stick together and look halfway decent.

Cut two 18" strips and drilled mounting holes on each end, each pipe is about 18" long and cut at a very slight angle. Spacing was just eyeballed.

Little primer and paint - ready to rock. Mounted them on studs in the garage wall up high enough so I don't shave my noggin on them every time I pass by. Added a little pipe insulation for padding. Pretty easy little project if you have access to a welder!

Now I just need a few more surf boards so I can build another rack to put up next to it...

Sweeeet. Can you say "overkill" though? You can make those in 5 min. with a piece of 1"x and a drill and some doll rods or closet rod. Of course you can't do chin ups on them like with yours. :D

IF IT'S WORTH DOIN, IT'S WORTH OVERDOIN!

Ha - yeah, you can't see the treadmill just off to the side. Multi-purpose for sure.

In hindsight I was bored and probably just looking for an excuse to go play with electricity and molten metal and sniff some paint fumes. But I did need to get my boards up off the floor!

More than glad to help brotha! You down there this week or just weekend? You have the number, just let me know.

Also, will you let me play with molten steel and electricity?
