Well for those of you that didn't tune into the satellites ... Here are some pics. We ended up taking quite a few and I'm too lazy to organize so I'll just post up what I come across.

Dusty brought his boat down and needless to say ... GREAT TIME! We also met up with another couple from Texas in their Bu.

Great pictures and looks like a blast! I wish our wake crew loved to camp, we all rented a houseboat one year and there were a few complaints. My wife and I love stuff like that and even better if you can bring the boat. You are lucky to have access to a place like that. Great memories are built upon trips like that.

What was that black and orange boat in the background of the roller pic? How much water did he take over the bow?

We got caught in a lightning and thunderstorm Sunday, pulled out just in time to get everyone and especially the babies off the boat but not enough time for the cover. So the boat sat out in a downpour for 25-30 mins. Luckily it was almost 90 on Monday and with a nice breeze so I had the boat airing out and drying all day.

Dusty you kill it! Love to see riding like that. We have a few friends who are great riders and I am always jealous of their bag of tricks. I need to step it up.

Oh and what are the two setups?

KG wetsounds icon 8's ( which look massive)??
Dusty exile? What towers are on there?

Both look great. I can't imagine having four or even six hlcd's. That's a lot of money on boat stereo. Plus I have to remove mine after each use so who in the hell wants to remove and store more than two speakers every weekend.

I'm riding a 2009 Slingshot Recoil, 138. Boots are the 2012 Slingshot Shred Towns, which I love.

I just saw you asked about the bow dip pic earlier. We actually didnt take it over the bow, we were between the rollers in that pic. Just an illusion. Now, earlier in the day we took 3 in a row. The boat was sacked out and had two people in the bow. I dropped the throttle and boom, nothing I could do.

Love the pics fellas. Question: How "primitive" do you go with the camping? Did you have a camper? Tents? Cabins? Full power?

I am trying to convince the wife to do something like this, but she sees two big obstacles... Mosquitoes love her and having no access to real world comforts for more than a day. My wife is actually a bit of a tomboy as she loves being outdoors so it's not really that she is a city girl. As a matter of fact she has been hunting with me twice and didn't complain once except that she was bored. (When she said that we had not seen any deer)

Cabins may be the way we go......interested to hear ya'lls setup.

It really depends on the weekend. Sometimes we rent a cabin, occasionally use Dusty's camper, and sometimes we just tent it with electric and water.

Memorial we did tents only. Now we did have to have a planning session on how power cords would be ran all over the campsite. I haven't bought a portable tent a/c but have looked at them. We do have full power and that is close to a necessity.

Personally, i prefer a cabin as it makes packing much easier but it isn't always feasible and a good camping trip is always a good time.

Trying to convince Heather to do a trip like this sooner than later. We have access to a camper that is pretty decent size, but that would mean camping with one of her friends who's significant other I do not care for all too much. I actually own a few higher end tents that would keep us comfortable, plus a nice air mattress. Probably am going to try for an overnighter before I ask her to hike up the Appalachian Trail with me.

We did it a couple of weeks ago at Carter's lake. My parents came with us and they had their camper but me, my wife, and our little girl stayed in the tent outside with an air matress. We had full power too so we had a fan running in there. We didn't use the camper at all except for when the downpour came. Took showers in the bath house at the camp ground. If my wife can do it I know your's can given that you said she is somewhat tomboyish. I'm sure we will be doing it again here pretty soon. If it gets any later in the summer it may be a requirement to get one of those tent AC units!

Good point. I need to mention this to her. She's pretty tough though, I bet she can wing it for a day and night. Of course all I will need is my boat, a bar of soap and a fishing line. I'm old school like that.

Wakeboard Cove is right around the corner from where you are renting the houseboat. It has good water off and on throughout the day depending on how many boats are going at once. You should have great water up until 10:30ish, though. There are a couple other coves that are good as well.

Do you know where you are taking the houseboat yet?

Have we emailed? You and someone else were asking about Ouachita and I've gotten you mixed up now. If not, email with a list of any questions you have and I can try to help you out.
