Lol...that's the funniest thing you've ever said! You must've been out in the sun too long today! Not one team in the Lil 12 could hang with even the lowest SEC team. Welcome to shared space with the "Big10" as the SEC's whipping boy...

Saying that the beat team in the big 12 could not beat the worst team in the sec is just ignorance. I will admit that the sec is a good tough conference and historically superior to the big 12 however they are close, too close for the worst sec team to beat the best big 12 team.

And let's not forget how the sec got so good, a couple hundred years of breeding super athletes...

Have you guys read or heard Urban Meyers comments on the the athletes in the SEC compared to other conferences? Basically said the athletes on the defensive line are much faster and athletic in the SEC compared to everywhere else. Its not that an Ohio St doesn't have skill position players as good as the skill guys at UGA, LSU, Bama, or UF. But its across the lines where the real difference is noticed. This is always apparent in bowl games but specifically the national title games. Its in the trenches where the dominance is established. Its a physical and emotional beat down to get dominated on either line of scrimmage. Look at the SEC Championship game last year. UGA dominated LSU for an entire half. But it was the depth of their defensive line that we couldn't match. Our first teamers just got beaten down by LSUs mud hogs up front.

I agree with the above. FAR superior breeding going on down South.

Oh yeah...to the OP.... I cant wait for this game to start. Looking forward to the SEC asserting its dominance on the BIG 12 like a farmer would on a rented mule. ;)

By the way....when is UT going to kick Mack to the curb and pass the reins over to ole Major?

I am a HUGE Applewhite fan by the way. Loved UT when he was QB.

Mack Daddy has 2, maybe 3 left in him I would say. Ole Muschamp was suppose to be the relief hitter but he went to one of them S E Clown schools-:). I'm guessing Major would be the successor but I think I'd like to see him go elsewhere and get some HC experience. Maybe after a year or two one of them flamboyant sec coaches will take the reins!! How much longer dummy boy gonna be coaching Bama.!! He only in it for the money and that's one thing the Horns have plenty lf

How Many National Championships does the Big 12 have over the last 10 years?? And didn't they lose at least two to an SEC school (my Gators and the wretched Tide) oh and didn't one of those schools also LOSE to an "overrated" "shouldn't have been there in the first place school" (Boise State) in the Fiesta Bowl during this Time period? And this is the same conference that is too scared and snobbish to let that school in to make it an actual 12 team conference because they are afraid that little guy would roll through that defenseless league. Poor Texas... :-(

Us SEC boys can be cocky because it's always the Big 12 and 10 fanboys that are so J over the SEC's success they LOVE to TALK about how much better they are. But then when they get their chance to knock us off they can't deliver. But hey, that's ok, little brother usually hates on Big brother every chance they get when really little brother just wants to be just like big brother. Big 12 you'll get your chance one day but for now enjoy the view from the rear and watch and learn...

I never said the Big 12 was superior to the SEC. History will easily prove otherwise. I am saying that the extent of the difference is not as great as the SEC schools make it out to be. The worst SEC team CANNOT beat the best Big 12 team. Sorry but that ain't going to happen. When it comes to Texas losing to Alabama, that was actually a good game, especially since Texas was led by a freshman QB who almost led a comeback. Even the Oklahoma vs Florida game was a good game, problem there that I could see was Bob Stoops run the same play on the goal line 4 times in a row and gets negative yardage each time.

SEC is on average better than the Big 12, no doubt. But not to the exaggerated extend ya'll make it out to be.

kaneboats

Yea, you're absolutely right. For the SEC, it's not like playing against a girls powderpuff team, it's more like playing against a decent boys high school team.

Not Big 12 news, but Ohio State backed out of the home and home series against UGA in a few years. Urban is a wussy.

Whatever . . . It was for 2020 & 2021. Urban won't be there for that long.

DESTIN, Fla. – The football games scheduled for 2020 and 2021 between Georgia and Ohio State have been called off.

Ohio State recently informed UGA that it is exercising its right to cancel the games, which had been set up in a memorandum of understanding between the schools in December 2010.

“They couldn’t make it happen due to the Pac 12-Big 10 football schedule deal,” Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity said Thursday, referring to a recent agreement between those conferences for a series of regular-season matchups beginning in 2017.

“And we understood,” McGarity added.

McGarity said Ohio State would not face a financial penalty for canceling the games, one of which was to have been played in Athens and the other at Ohio State. Specific dates had not been set. Ohio State recently informed Georgia that it could not confirm dates.

LMBO! That actually makes me feel pretty crappy. I like to think of myself as a fairly athletic gent and I cannot break into the 70s to save my life. It must be the clubs.

The most frustrating game I have ever played for sure.

70's?????????? How about only double digits?? I got into doubles digits the last two times out for the first time in over 12 years. 6 kids and scratch golf (or even double digit golf) don't go together till you hit from the forward tees.

The best thing I ever could have done for my game is learned how to putt. Oh yeah, and I practiced with my wedges a lot. What gets me is errant drives. Hitting my second from the wrong fairway is problematic.

I'm actually watching it as well. Not sure why. I got caught up watching UGA girls this season as they seemed to be on tv a lot. They got the shaft by the ump against Bama.

Wolfe: My favorite player is hails from Ohio actually. Tess Sito. She was a transfer this season from a school called Elyria? Cool name and she is always dirty from sliding. Tough chick.

Getting back to the SEC football talk.....Here is the breakdown of current recruiting classes for 2013. Once again the SEC is dominating holding down 60% of the top 10.

Although the Georgia breakdown is obviously from the Gator idiot Chris Nee. He says that Henry is expected to start. We are not expecting Henry to crack the top 3 with the stable we have back there. For the Tennessee fans on the board (And I KNOW we have some) where is UT in these rankings??? LMBO! I better watch my mouth, bc the Tennessee fans I speak of are kinda a big deal around here if you get my drift.

Kane: FSU is number 13 right now. They will move up when it is all said and done as they are in the top group for quite a few big names. They have gotten two solid OL prospects which they really needed two years ago. They have recruited very well the last two years almost getting back to when Bowden was in his prime. But they have also missed big on a few prospects evaluations as well. Insert Jeff Luc here.

JV: I am one of the freaks who pays money every month to get the inside info on where 17 and 18 year olds are going to play football. I am a nut. But I really get into the evaluation of these players. Love studying film and seeing how my evaluations measure up a few years down the road. Recruiting is getting a little ridiculous now a days with the medias coverage of these kids. Add social media (Twitter and FB) into the mix and it makes it even worse. Wish we could tame this entitlement mentality so many of these kids have today. Sad fact.....A lot of kids will not consider a school unless they are offered a scholarship their SOPHOMORE year of HS! They say, that the schools are not "showing them love" when they offer in their junior year.

I wonder where the other two bowl sites will be. I would bet that one of them will be the Georgia Dome. Larger city that is easily accessible, right in the Southeast so its close to the SEC schools (Obviously important since we always are so awesome) and no weather issues.

Not sure on the other. Maybe the Cowboys stadium? But what bowl is there now?

Hmmmm . . .

Guess you don't remember all the crap the ATL took for the inclement weather that rolled in for the Super Bowl in 2000?

The Cotton Bowl is at Jerry's House now.
