Yep... believe it or not, I have a problem. I saw a commercial for the "Pure Sleep" mouth pieces. Anyone use these? I ordered, but can return in 30 days. I have a friend that said he couldn't get used to them. Gotta try something though. Any of yall got any thoughts on them?

I'll be curious what you learn here as I am the one doing the kicking or going out to crash on the couch every once in a while. She hates it and is very self conscious about it, but so far hasn't done anything about it. Breathe Right strips help a little when she remembers to put one on. Me leaving gentle reminders gets old...

My other solution is a hefty nightcap or two or threeeeeee before I go to bed. Either way I'm waking up feeling like a zombie.

Somebody's going to be on a CPAP machine sometime.

Snoring is the vibration of respiratory structures and the resulting sound, due to obstructed air movement during breathing while sleeping. In some cases the sound may be soft, but in other cases, it can be loud and unpleasant. Snoring during sleep may be a sign, or first alarm, of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

not sure about your specs, but benson has a very good point. when I was down to 180, my snoring was almost gone. at 200(and a few) now, it's back. not as bad as it was when I was 230, but there..

Did not mean to be curt but was in a hurry out the door at the time.
I have direct experience with snoring vs. weight. When I got married I was about 175. When my weight went over 190 I started snoring. When I went over 200 consistently - alternate sleeping arrangements were frequent. When I hit 230 it got really bad. I have struggled with weight for a long time now, up and down. Every time I get below 190 my snoring pretty much goes away. The problem is a 'fatty uvula'. My doc told me the snoring would get better if I lost weight. He was right. He also told me that the uvula can be trimmed via laser. But if your weight stays up the problem could return. About 15 years ago the laser trimming was like $2-3K.

Ear plugs sound a lot cheaper. ;)

Those are a last resort... For me they amplify every move I make. Dragging a hand across the pillow sounds like a belt sander in my head with them in.

Well, looks like I gotta fat uvula... does slimfast make a shake for that? :)

You didn't say which one. I think the problem is the loose nut behind the wheel.

Yea... did that... they emailed back and said it happens quite a bit and that their site must not support my OS. I use XP. I was ordering the 99.00 set up. I will try it from home tonight on my laptop.

Maybe Wakemakers sell replacement uvulas. If it is anything like the impeller, you should replace it once a year.
