transmission fluid capacity

have read the owners manual. have read the engine and xmissson manuals. give two different capacities. 1.7 qt or 2.1 qt. i have an 09 OBV with 325hp Indmar Assualt engine. cannot find a data plate on the transmission for model number. i know the dipstick is the final verdict but would be nice to know before I overfill to 2.1 qt. anybody know off the top of their head.

2.1 isn't that far away from 1.7, I'd fil to around 1.5 and then start checking the dipstick...

Fill it until you see it's full on the dipstick.

With travel and the new baby, I haven't had a lot of time to frequent the site. I do still refer here when I have a question. I put 2 quarts in and had to pull about a 1/4 quart back out, so I'm sure it is 1.7 quart in case anybody is wondering.

Don't fill it all they to the full line if you are checking when the transmission is cold. Transmission fluid expands when it heats up and it will actually be over full if you check it hot. It could also spit it out of the vent is you surf much.
