Just picked up our (new to us) 2008 Moomba LSV. We have owned several other boats in the past (Sea-Ray Bow Rider, Yamaha Jet Boat. This is our first inboard and we are so excited to be part of the Moomba community. Our home lake is Lake Norman, NC. We keep our boat in dry storage over at Westport Marina. We have University of Michigan color scheme (Blue and Maize). We will be taking full advantage of the tower and Gravity III ballast system. My kids (12 and 10) and I learned to wakeboard behind a Jetski and Jetboat. A true inboard with better wake will be much enjoyed. I have a 7 year old that wants to learn this year.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot and contributing to this forum.

Welcome!

Great boat, other than that awful description of the color scheme. Yeah, I grew up in Columbus, so I got a bad disposition regarding that team up North. :)

You're going to have a blast with the new ride.

OK everyone, perhaps I should have been more selective about color description, but my wife is a Wolverine and Spartan. It's not like I had much of a choice since I bought it second hand.

Cheers.

Ah, we don't take much too seriously 'round here. You've been initiated.

But, I'll be watching you come football season.

Welcome to the Moomba family. Sorry about the boat colors, sometimes you can't win.
Our last boat was red and gray with being from Ohio and boating in TN most of the time we had our fair share of ribbing. This year we bought a orange and white boat, while boating in TN still get the ribbing for the right colors, but OH reg stickers, can't win.

In Canada we really don't give a rats @#$ about football theme colours etc.We concern ourselves with getting out after the ice thaws and having some fun before it all freezes again. Yes i realize we are not nearly as Patriotic as Most US residents but really its all about having fun. Welcome and Enjoy your new boat.

BTW our beer is better and we are still watching HOCKEY playoffs even though all the Canadian based teams are already knocked out. Just remember if you are a fan likely 1/2 or better of All NHL teams are made up of Canadians .just to throw a little Sports Loyaly out there..... Again Welcome.

It's a game where you lace a pair of razor sharp steel blades to your feet and try to wail away on a frozen piece of black rubber with a weapon called a hockey stick ;o). A true gentlemans game to be sure!
Or like someone once put it "I went to the fights last nite and a Hockey Game broke out" ha ha ha!

Back when I was in Dallas going to see the Stars play was one of my favorite things to do! I had a good collection of Stars swag going there for a while.

Yes Petty, a true fan. Been a fan since I was a kid, it's a challenge these days but still a fan. What can I say, the recruits are going to go where it's sunny and there's blondes with C and D cups, as well as where they don't need to go to class to actually get an education like most schools with serious football programs in Div. I.
