I have an '02 LSV with a carburetor. On cold starts, I have to open the throttle to get it to fire up. Pumping the throttle to prime doesn't work, has to be opened to start. After that the boat runs like a champ and starts easily. However, if I've been idling around (such as filling ballast, long rides through no wake zones, etc) and kill it, the boat struggles to start again. I have to open the throttle to get it to fire again.
I guess it's not really a huge deal, but if there is an easy fix, I'd like to get it taken care of. My wife tends to freak out a little bit if it doesn't easily start. Any ideas?
