OK, so Petty uncovered that the Moomba Board has been in existence for some 10 yrs now. In celebration of this milestone, post up your SINGLE FAVORITE picture of you enjoying your Moomba boat.

The Mods will select the Top 5 submissions by the end of April, so get your submission posted NOW! After the Top 5 have been selected, we'll put up a poll for the members to vote for their favorite. I'll work on some Moomba swag for the winner(s) and have it shipped out by mid-May.

Well, I'll start it off. I've enjoyed boating since I was a little kid with parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I started sharing skiing and wakeboarding with my own kids. But I'd never wakesurfed until I joined the Moomba family. So when daughter #2 not only decided she wanted to surf, but started free-riding and you could see the elation on her face -- that was the #1 Moomba Moment for me so far:

Oh man that one picture is the kicker. This is probably my favorite, its my 3 year old nephew and me after a surf session.

I went thru a lot of pics today and it's hard to narrow down but here's my submission. its not an action packed shot or a shot of how expensive my gear is. This is, IMO, the best crew in the world, my children.

This shot was taken on one of our first trips out and I said to them " be goofy for the pic". The pic has meaning because as some of you know I'm a SWAT cop and TX Longhorn fan.

My son posed as a SWAT cop going thru a "hot" door after a bad guy. That "bad guy" being my youngest daughter. (and shes plays a good bad guy in real life). She had her "hands in the air, hands in the air" after receiving the verbal commands from my son.

My oldest daughter threw the HORNS UP and gave our Horns some love on HER new orange boat.

This pic wasn't planned or scripted, just my great kids being goofy on a whim and it really tells a story. After all, that's what we're all after right.......No Worries!

Well, picking a picture was pretty easy since we've only been on the water for TWO HOURS with the MOOMBA!
We bought the boat on the thanksgiving weekend last fall and I had to go out once before stuffing it in the garage. It's been a long 6 months of sitting in it, drinking a beer or two, and listing to the stereo just waiting for the snow to melt.
This site and the people on it are awesome! After reading your posts, looking at your pictures and figuring what worked for you, I did a few upgrades this winter (2-750's, Acme 1235, two 10" subs, window tint) and I think we're ready for a super summer.

I'm positive that that picking a picture will be a tougher choice for the 20th anniversary!

It's going to be tough to pick one by mid July! Glad you're loving the Moomba! I can tell you fit in perfectly around here by the fact you went out on T-giving weekend and also would sit in the boat during the winter. LOL. You are of the brotherhood, my friend.

At the time my youngest daughter who was afraid to tube since her "submarine" incident, got the fun board out that first summer 2008 of our new OBV 2007 , and this was her" break through Moment" of not being afraid , Now she skiis, boards and I cant keep her off the surf board....

This was a tough choice becuse we have had so many great moments on the OBV and with an addition in 2009 , we have upgraded to the xlv for 2012 for more of these special "Moomba Moments".

This picture was taken just a few months ago when we picked up our boat from the dealer after having some work done. We purchased our boat early August 2011 so we haven't had much time to get out on the boat. It snowed like crazy this day and I definitely won't forget picking it up from our dealer and standing outside for an hour (underdressed) trying to get the damn thing in the garage :) (Guy didn't have the correct hookup so we tried to use all sorts of US currency as well as a 6" pipe to override the trailer brakes. It kept popping out and the snow/slight incline into the garage didn't help once we got that figured out) We might not have been quite "enjoying" our boat on this day, but certainly a day to remember.

Anyways, couldn't be happier that I was able to purchase the boat just a month before my 23rd birthday and just a few months post college graduation. I've worked very hard for the boat am a very proud Moomba owner, even if it is 12 years old :) No doubt we will have many more memories on our Moomba.

Pictured left->right (Bret, Me, Our awesome dealer)

MODS: Can you delete the picture of our boat? Didn't mean to upload that one!

hope Supra's are included in this as well :)
I had this as my avatar before the big 2011 Barbie Scandal.

I still think it's my favorite. It's not a shot of us recreating in the water, but shows the end of what was a perfect day out on the lake enjoying surfing/tubing/boarding and overall the great company of family.
without ever buying my Supra, none of the summer memories I have made over the last 4 years would have been possible. It has brought me and my sis closer than we were (went 12 years in the same town with no contact-long story) and has inspired them to buy the tooner in the picture. some of you remember the teardown of that project. They would have never bought that boat had it not been for the Supra and with that project, has made the entire family a "TRUE" boating family for life.

I have to find a few more but I always liked this one. It is my previous lsv (now kpvikes boat) at Norris lake last year. I was very hung over and tired bu t I love the color of the boat. Now it's time to get some great photos of my XLV this summer!

Come on, there should be 50 pictures here by now. If you do not have any pictures you are missing a great part of the whole boating thing. Trapped here at home in the easy chair going through 7 years of boating pictures has been a great distraction. Digits are cheap, use them early and often.

here is a picture that was taken on our trip to belton lake last summer. my uncle is a music minister and him and my aunt and their three boys came out with us for the day along with my mom and her husband who drove from lubbock for the weekend. in the picture you can see my uncle and my youngest cousin matt using my boat for cover in a water gun fight while i air a tube up for people to lounge on and get some sun. why is not pictured is our picnic set up! grill folding chairs, tables, coolers....all the gear and people had to cram into my lil ole lsv for the drive to the beach, what a fun day!

This pic is from Brostock last year. Mine and Kyles little ones having a blast. Funny, you can envy the bromance all you want, but these two little girls have become like sisters since it started. Both of them always ask about each other, wanting to go see one another (4 hour drive between us)

When they are together you would think they were sisters. It's alot of fun to see them interact each time, which is somewhere around once a month or so when we can all meet up. I think the expression on heir face says it all.

This probably my favorite shot of my boat for a few reasons.
1) It was last ride on her. Very sad day.
2) It was glass.
3) It was late October and about 5 Degrees. This is very late in the season for Canada.
4) It shows off my amazing XLV and our lake's lighthouse, the only inland lighthouse in Canada.
5) Its so cold Im wearing waterproof latex gloves!

I'll disqualify myself upfront because I fully intend to be a judge. (bribes accepted)

This was a few years ago during a rough time in my life (divorce). Just me and the kids on the water one evening and even with a broken wrist my little girl was still a trooper. How could I not smile - even looking at it now. Definitely found our happy place!

This one I love bc its of both the girls and was at the very end of the day when everyone was exhausted except for them. They never want the day to end and are always wanting to stay out later. They had been tubing, swimming, playing on the beach, and laughing all day long and I remember laughing to myself when I took this picture about how I used to be the same way when I was their age. You could never be on the water too long! Our smallest, Adeline (Addy) always gets upset when she takes a little boat nap and wakes up and we are going in. Every minute they can soak up on the water is a minute of pure happiness. This captures them at the end of another one of those awesome days.

Prolly to late for the contest and thats ok.

This is the very first time i had her in the water. It was a cool 50 degrees that day, later that same day my other buddy not in the pic wake boarded and it hailed on him.

Those that know my boat, it barley resembles this anymore, as this was the start of my upgrade madness.
