Looking thru the forum and see on 04-17-2002 is the oldest thread/post. So if that date holds true then we are soon approaching a 10 year milestone. Maybe we could do something to celebrate the beginning.

My suggestion is the great Mr. Rick T spots me an awesome new ride of his choice that I promise to market most awesomely for the next 10 years. I'll be wolfey but in TX

better yet,
rick t takes a new mojo and spreads it around to all the "regular" posters on here and gives us each a week with the new toy.... and in the same spirit as the wakeboard that went around the country a few years ago-we all sign the boat somewhere and then they auction it off..

Interesting. I joined in 2003 about a year after I had the boat and the board was going strong back then. I didn't realize it was in it's infancy. Some of the same people are still on the board and may not chime in much but it is nice to hear from them again. The issues have changed somewhat such as what can be dragged from the tower and windshield issues to others that didn't exist back then such as ballast and propeller sizes. I have noticed a significant drop in issues involving new boats that had issues right from delivery and a lack of dealer support. SC and Engine Nut spent a lot more time on the board working on issues that you don't see much anymore. Kudos to SC for improving their processes.

Hey zabooda do you have any recent pics of your boat? I'd love to see some pics of a pimped out 14 year old Möbius

I really like the Idea of Rick making his rounds around with the new MoJo letting us each spend a week. Shoot Come to Oregon and I bet all the Moomba owners would get together for a week long camping trip so he will hit 6 of us for one week. Also if he pays for Gas we would be more then happy. Shoot Rich just come out spend a week with us and pay for Gas and i would be happy.

jpetty,
I didn't realize my boat was going on 14 years old. I attached a few pictures to try and get the best part of the boat and that is the metal flake which is not common on ski boats. Moomba made a red and blue metal flake for the 1998 and 1999 years and then stopped. Rumor has it that the cost was too high to continue the process.

The 1998 year was the first year for the tower and they used an Outback hull and called it the Mobius. There were at least two engine choices with Pleasurecraft Marine (PCM) and Indmar. The decals started to fade about five years ago but they haven't got worse so I am planning to take them off someday and put a 1/2 wrap on it. I have a OEM hard bimini that came with the boat and I haven't seen many Moombas with it.

I haven't changed much over the years with only an updated stereo, sub and speakers. I store it outside all the time even during the winter and it runs as good as it did when I bought it.

Actually my 2001 has a little gold metal flake in the yellow - gives it extra pop but still subtle (if that's possible for an obnoxious yellow boat). When getting insurance quotes they asked me if it had metal flake and I was hesitant to answer. They said it costs more for repairs to redo metal flake gel coat. Makes sense.

Can kinda see it on the edge of the platform there...

I got to see a plane yellow 2003 or 04 LSV last summer and I decided I really like the metal flake in there.

Does that include guys not allowed to have avatars? :)

yes avatars are optional, but as I read this, it would preclude anyone that has 3 consecutive numbers for their post count. yours is at 555 currently, so you are out. sorry....
