2005 outback tower tubing size

I just bought a pay of tower speakers and apparently I didn't pay to much attention to the moats size cause the do not fit. I can get them to work if I wrap rubber around the tower so the clamps tighten. What size is the tower? My other question is should I just wrap the area or get other clamps? (where would I get clamps?) thanks

1 5/8 is your tower size. Diywake has some, check ebay
