Sorry, I was too lazy to find the other seadek thread on the phone ...

What thickness did everyone go with? It says 8mm is standard swim platform but I was considering the 15mm. Anyone else do this?

Choices were 5, 6, 8, 15, 20

I have my mind set of 15mm also unless someone suggests against it. It's on the list,to,get, done this summer sometime

I got mine as one of the group buys awhile ago and I'm going to assume it is the 8mm, standard. It's been a fantastic upgrade and I'm not sure if the cost differential for the 15 would be worth it?

I believe I got the 5 m over 3 m so eight total. Black over mica, great upgrade and about four times as thik as the oem on the 07.

Why did they complicate things? I just ordered a swim platform in faux teak, no one bothered to ask me what thickness. Maybe I got ripped.

I like my platform cover though.

I think the faux teak only comes in 5mm.

Apparently you have to be a 1%'er to order the 15mm. I was quoted $585 for 15mm.

Dang 1%'ers I tell ya what. That's darn near waterway robbery.

All this time I thought mine was the most expensive SeaDek pad ever created for a Moomba - that's like $100 more than what my custom cut cost.

15mm is too thick, I think that would look goofy.

You guys should check out their overstock / 2nds, might be able to save some $ that way - looks like they have a bunch of Moomba pads around $150;

Any chance the 2001 Outback pad will fit on a 2009 LSV. I'm thinking not but that's a great deal on a two color teak for 200

Even looks like they have a Supra one

Too bad I have the platform they ran for a short period of time and they didn't have a template for it. Of course.

To many dollars, imo even at group buy prices.

Sorry but that would be a No, to narrow and shaped different.

I have done group buy in the past it was like 210 shipped with a basic 2 color. I will say they are sweet feeling to the feet and knees ;)

definately worth the upgrade, but depends what you are coming from. Pre 2008/2009 the pads were thin, rough and produced black in the boat. after that its going to be a preference and customization. ( the cool Factor) i will miss my custom Roo on my OBV but the new xlv has a decent looking pad.

Agreed. Loved the Seadek after coming from that messy black rubber one, but the new ones are too nice to spend the $$ on a swap out.

Here is ours...pretty banged up. I considered upgrading it, then I saw the prices :) Many more things I'd do before upgrading something that is still fully functional on the boat. Yeah it kind of looks like crap, but at least it isn't going to get much worse. No worries!

This was our day working on the boat last weekend, dining in style!

Did you leave the cold beer out of the pic on purpose? Or did y'all drink it all before the pic

That must be pure vodka in the bottle.

I knew I forgot something when I was packing our boat supplies!

You got it, last one to finish a nalgene full of vodka and eat an entire pizza had to wax the boat! :D

That's the spirit kid. Way to incorporate a drinking game while detailing the boat
