Speed odometer inop

I have a 2003 moomba outback Lsv my speed odometer is not working any ideas where I can start? I have of wheel or something on hull that can be cleaned .

If you have checked the wheel on the hull of your boat and it looks fine, then test the wiring, something may have been damaged or disconnected.

I am currently going through the same problem. I thought it was the paddle wheel and bought Nautic Laugic GPS and that didn't fix it. I have since checked the wiring and that is what has gone bad. I am going to change out the connectors and I hope that fixes it. If not I will have to pull the whole wire going from the dash to the paddle wheel. At least I'll have gps when it's all said and done and hopefully it works.
