Speed odo not working

I just bought a 03 moomba outback and my speed odo is not working any ideas?
I have heard u can clean out the wheel or something like that help please.

We had an inoperable speedo on a 2000 mobius v and just upgraded to perfect pass with GPS. Well worth it in my opinion - although haven't been out on the lake to use it yet.

I have found that my perfect pass speed only hits 42 MPH. My other speedo says 46. In this case I believe that the mechanical speedo is correct. When PP hits 42 I have more throttle and giving more gas and going faster. Whats up with that?

I believe that you have 2 speedo indicators on your dash, correct??? If so, do both of them not work?

I have read about people having a loose wire at the pick up wheel, so check that.
