Ok so I bought 4 new 1" stainless steel thru hull fitting from wake makers to replace the stock black plastic 3/4" ones. i was checking out the new fittings and noticed that the face of them that goes on the outside of boat looked VERY large so I measured them and they are 2 1/2 diameter. Then I measured the factory one still on the boat and it was 1 1/2" diameter, this is an increase of 3/4" per fitting!!!

Now my crisis lies in that the two fittings on the right rear of the boat are very close together, and I believe the new wider fittings will contact/overlap each other due to the close proximity of these holes. What did everyone else do who went with 1" fittings or are mine just super sized and im super screwed???

Seems there some options I can think of
1. Find 1 inch thru hulls with smaller diameter outer bevel, down side they no longer match the others
2. Find 1 inch thru hulls with smaller diameter outer bevel and replace all of them with new ones
3. Grind down each thru hull so they no longer overlap but fit flush to each other, could even have them welded together then polished up. Could make an interesting conversation piece ;-)
4. Go mega size thru hull say a single mondo thru hull that the outer beverl would cover both original holes.
5. Leave as is with stock thru hulls
6. Punt

I'm partial to 3

I like #6, it's what his Texas Tech Raiders had to do most of the season so why not

Can't get no worse than the last 2 years. This is David Ash's break out year, we got this.

Got my fingers crossed the buckeyes don't go 12-0, that would be such a shame with that whole "no bowl game" for them there NCAA violations. I'm sure Urban can use the extra time to get ready thou

Love how these threads wander aimlessly off topic!

So, you are another TX fan that is throwing the young McCoy out the window?

We just have to wait & see if the Urban-renewal is going to be more than just hype. I hated the guy when he was a Gaydor. But, I'll send him Dusty-style man love if he wins as a Buckeye.

Last year we missed out on a bowl game, two years ago it was y'all. We are having rebuilding years too!

"Sort of" regular business hours but they are getting into the busy season. I've got emails from them after 7pm here recently.
