View Full Version : Samsung TV settlement

I heard about this the other day but didn't pay much attention. Then my 52" LCD started turning on and off 10 times when you hit the power button. Apparently they put a bunch of junk capacitors in these and there was a class action. They are coming out to do the repairs next week as part of the settlement. Thought I'd share in case anyone else has one of the listed models:

thanks for the heads-up. I'll check my model when i get home.

If its on there, I gotta make sure to get it fixed before it breaks. Shoot, we might end up with more kids ;) Lol.

I can vouch for the fact it is certainly possible. DirecTV only goes out for a couple minutes at a time so it's safe. But those cable outages that last several hours actually last 21-25 years. I can't imagine having a broken TV for several weeks.

Lol. Whew, at least for the moment, no more kids. My TV wasn't listed. ;)
