I am the dude with the new Mojo, I will be picking it up on April 15th!!! I am a regular foot with a lot of experience surfing in the ocean. What is a good surf style board for me? I am 6'2" 190lbs. Thanks!

Have a price in mind?

I'd recommend Walker Project all day long. F18 or Signature. You would prob need a 5.0 or larger?

Are others going to be riding the board? What size range do you need to cover?

Thunderman - did you see the Mojo wave video I posted? Let me know if you want to go out & see it live.

Walkers are awesome . . .

IF you can get them to ship one to you and
IF it arrives undamaged and
IF you are ready to freak out every time somebody touches it

I think the Inland Surfer boards are a great compromise between performance & durability.

I would think a 5 foot board would be the max size you need. You might even enjoy a 4'8.

Don't forget about Lakewakes. He's got some very cool boards too.

Inland Surfer Sweet Spot Pro or Flyboy, TWP boards are great, Soul Craft, Stretch surf boards, and Shred Stixx Hazen or Custom models.

Post some pricing with those. I don't think any are under $600?

Although I had some problems with my Walker board upon arrival, I scored it for under $300.

He didn't. I'm asking for myself.

Also, surf style boards build speed for airs in two different ways, you either have to pump the board a few times or "butter" the board. A board that requires pumping will tire you out much faster than a board that you can butter to build your speed for airs. Shred Stixx and Stretch boards you pump. Soul Craft and Inland Flyboy you butter. I believe TWP boards you can butter as well (never ridden a TWP).

None of them. Maybe a Soul Craft but I'm not sure if there fastest board is less than $600.

Dang! That was my guess. I want to try another surf style brand this summer, but don't know that I want to pony up that much coin.

soulcraft starts in the very high 400's here, but it's for one model. most are 6-700. Jeff lives across town from me. amazing boards and an awesome guy to meet.

his boards will be like the walker. very very fragile. I'm hoping to pick one up this spring if I can get a deal on it. surfed with him. he's goofy and rides with everyone that's regular. he's pretty good at riding heelside on the regular side :)

I'd recommend a phase5 as a good place to start. under 4 at most shops.
triple xxx are great boards as well and can be had for under 4 all day long at most shops. ones here were 280-330 at the boat show.

just picked up a cwb tsunami for 290. looks like a good board as well..
