I have the folding nav light on top of the tower. I bumped into it when the tower was folded down and broke it off its mount. I epoxied it back together but noticed the other night it's broken again. I want to replace the unit. I saw this one and wondered if anyone has replaced this light with one of these or something like it.

I guess technically the white one is called the "anchor light".

This is what I got when mine broke and it was an exact replacement.

I'm pretty sure I'd break that one too. I'm thinking lower profile and cheap b/c I use it about 2X/yr.

West Marine - about $20. Fixed mount type that is roughly 4" high? The top of the tow mount ends where the base of the light starts so if the law wants to get snippy it is the highest point on the boat (minus the mongo racks there)

I saw a supra one on ebay yesterday.

Not for me. I just want a puck to replace the existing light-- something that won't get knocked over when we move around in the boat with the tower folded down. I'm also going to hide all the wiring when I do my speaker re-wire.

I would have preferred one on top of the tow point but the way mine is with a center bolt down the middle of it I couldn't come up with a way to do it and have the wire hidden and out of the way from being destroyed by the rope. I saw some other puck style ones that were battery powered but who wants to mess with flipping a switch up there and hoping the battery didn't die over the months of not using it.

Well I have power up there already, just have to hide it. The hardest decision is whether to go with the older style light or add $30 for LED. Since I only use it about twice a year it's an easy one. Next time it breaks there will only be LED's.

Hate to revive an old thread but wondering if you ever installed the flush mounted light. I broke mine last year doing the same thing and it's been taped togeather all summer. Doing all my little touch ups and figured I'd finally fix the light.

Yes, I ordered one just like the one in the link. Installed it up next to the tow attachment but flush on the top of the tower. I think I even re-used one of the existing screw holes. It hides the wire that was exposed from the old light. Works great.

OK thanks. Did you drill a new hole under the light and fish the wire through in order to hide it under the light?

I bought the OEM replacement but I like what you ordered. Let us know how you like it as I am sure I will break this one as well.

I think I used the wire hole that was there and one of the screw holes then just drilled one more screw hole.

Anybody have a pic of what they did? The eBay link doesn't show the photo anymore.
