After a couple of years looking and a couple of years lurking (and asking a few questions) on the forum, I am stoked to say we finally pulled the trigger. Last week put a deposit down on the new baby, a 2012 Outback V to be ordered from the factory. Me and wife are skiers, growing boys are skiers and boarders and we generally love everything about the water. We are coming from an I/O  so will be a huge change for us!

Anyway, looking forward to being on here more and just want to prepare you for more questions!

Welcome, congratulations, im sure some people will jump in and tell you who to contact, but you can get build pics and have the history of your new boat being built. Post them up when you get them, dont be a stranger, i think your the first to get a 2012 OBV here.

awesome. as someone who came from an I/O family (dad's boat) I would never go back-you'll love the performance and once you practice driving it a little you'll be able to do things with you're OBV you could never do in an I/O. Some people even beach their inboards but that's for another thread :)

Congrats on the purchase. It is good to see more folks in the triangle with Moombas. There are too many MCs & Bus around here. May I ask if you went to Grandpa's or White Lake or somewhere else? We usually frequent Hyco Lake early and late in the season, and Falls during the middle. Flag me down and say hi if you see me around. I have a red 2001 Outback, usually riding very low in the water!

Congrats on the New OBV. We love our 2009 OBV, it's the perfect crossover boat. And I almost forgot, welcome!

Thanks for the welcome guys. Will definitely post some pics as I get some.

Brian, dealt with the guys at White Lake, they were great to work with. I will flag you down, spend most of our time on Falls, but we also get up to Gaston for a couple of weeks each summer. Gonna be yellow and navy blue, and when you throw on the Oz tower, I am sure you will know me when you see it.

Re: the colors. Yeah, I know, almost everything else we have is Carolina Blue, so needed to do something a little different. Had a chance to buy a new 2011 for significantly less, but couldn't do it because it was NC State red and black! (sorry Brian ^^^).

A guy from my high school went to NC State a long time ago. He does figure skating and golf announcing now but used to be one of the best long range shooters in the country.

Sure, Terry "the Cannon" Gannon. Still can't figure out why he does figure skating?? And Kane, seeing you are in Tallahassee, I think you are being kind to not bring up that game 2 weeks ago!

You got the wrong guy there. I'm not from here. Gannon is from the same HS as Mike Alstott, Rudy and me.
