I apologize if this is a repost, but after a few searches i was unable to find what i was looking for.

I have a 2012 LSV with g3 and wakeplate that has yet to hit the water. So despite the unseasonably warm temperatures for ohio this year, the boat won't be able to see the water until late april. In the meantime, I was hoping someone could dig up some pics of 06+ LSVs surf wake with the stock g3 ballast and then also possibly a picture with the rear 400 swapped out with a 750. Thanks in advance guys

Probably no need for pics as I think the resounding majority are going to simply tell you to get the 750 for surfing. It works great in that boat. You won't be disappointed!

I disagree with wolf. I'd tell u to get the 1100 :)

+1 ... The price difference is small between 750 and 1100. This is assuming other LSV owners tell you the 750 fills completely in that locker.f

But to answer your question, 400 will get you started but you will not doubt want a 750 or larger. Simple swap.

Here are 3 pics that I'm pretty sure were with just the stock 400 and the center 400 filled with about 5 kids sitting on the surf side. The 4th pic is with the 750 on the goofy side (it's the only time I ever ran goofy for Lakewakes back in July of 2010). See the next post for more.

These pics are with the 400 center filled and the 750 on the surf side. You will notice more height to the wave, a longer pocket and much more "push". I could surf with just the 400 but would lose the wave all the time. Much more fun with the 750. All of these are with the wake plate all the way up, I think.

Fresh - I just happen to know a guy who will be selling a pair of 1100's soon, used one season...

I would go with the 1100s in the rear for surfing. 750s make a great wave but if you're light on human ballast the 1100 will more than make up for it. You'll want a good prop...

Is there any room left with a full 1100? Do the locker walls need reinforced with an 1100?

It totally fills the space. An extra hinge in the middle of the wall helps reinforce them.

I bought the 750....then I bought the 1100. This is with the 1100. It's the only way to go. This pic is just with 1100 surfside, 400 mid and 2 adults in the boat. I weigh less than 200lbs and I've surfed it with just the driver. The 750 was good...the 1100 is much better. I now have the 750 on the other side for those that surf goofy..
