Atlanta Boat Show Jan 12-15

I've invited myself to again help Atlanta Marine at the boat show this year. My wife thinks I'm crazy using up 2 vacation days to "work" but I had such a good time last year. I'm hoping the weather ends up being better than last year when the ice & 2 inches of snow basicallly shut down Atlanta for a week. I'm also hoping to see some faces from last year and to get more folks into a Moomba or Supra than I did last year.

I was thinking about taking a run up your way that weekend but my plans got overruled by a cheer competition. But, the silver lining is that there's one in Tampa in a few weeks so I may get to see Moombadaze and break the seal on the new surfing year.

I can't imagine the mess with the carpets and all of the power running on the floor. Guess I better wear my boots!

I will try and get some pics today, but it is such a hectic pace that it's hard to find a minute to even take a pee break! Off the top of my head, this is what they have on the floor:

2 - Supra 242
1 - Supra 22V World's
1 - Supra 22V
2 - Moomba Mojo
1 - Moomba LSV
1 - Moomba Outback V

I think there are a few more boats down by where the rail jam pool was, but I didn't venture down there yesterday.

We didn't get many pics like I wanted to, mainly because we were chasing a disgruntled 2 year old around. There were some nice rides there for sure. The Mojo definitely looks MUCH better in person! I really liked the Supra Worlds edition that was there. I didn't get any pictures of the Moomba's as I was too busy talking to Drew and then had to go grab some grub. We didn't make it back to the SC area we had to leave to get the kids in bed. I will post what little pictures I do have soon.

On a side note the Malibu/Axis dealer's display was pretty Impressive I thought. I was impressed with Atlanta Marine's as well they had a LOT of boats there! Was surprised to see 2 Mojos.

And the Mastercraft Towers are still fugly and I still don't get the price tags on them or the Nautiques...ridiculous!

Good to see you again Drew!! We came back buy to talk to you but you were "Sellin dem boats!" Anyway give me a call sometime you got my number.. Oh and yeah first thing my wife said was that she could smell the wet carpet.

As for the Mojo we didn't like it at all. Drew get inside it today and kind of bounce on the floor near the back in the center. It felt like it was soft and would flex. Maybe it was just me. My wife told me it was because i was "Over the weight limit" ;)

Got to talk to someone from the factory about the floor and understand that they had noticed this already and the issue has been addressed/fixed. Gotta love SC's continuous improvement process.

Good catch, the progressive tower is cool looking, that looks like the Oz Tower on crack.How did this get buried among the OZ and Mojo News..

Oh yeah, the highlight of my weekend is sure to be the hour or so I got to hang with Supra Team Rider, Mr. Reed Hansen!!

Reed is an extremely down to earth, pleasant & polite guy who let me pepper him with stupid questions. He gave me some training tips for learning wake skate tricks so guess we'll be buying one for the upcoming season. Thanks, Reed!

Here they are. Great looking desgin, but not able to handle a Z5.

I was able to talk with Ray from Z5 again this year and I think we may soon see something very cool from his company. Not 2012 soon, but soon!

that tower looks like a nautique or centurion tower.

guess I'm old school, but I still like my rad-a-cage. the illusion's are the only front-facing tower that I'd consider.
kudos for giving buyers a choice tho.

I just hope we don't ever see a wakecraft-style tower on a skiers product :)

My favorite tower on the market is the Supra Progressive tower. I like that it eliminates the forward tower legs for unobstructed vision and the ability to utilize the Z5 bimini.

Progressive is the best looking tower out right now, imo.

Im sure its no coincedence that is the tower supra picked for forward leaning option as we have seen that tower outfitted with a z5 on other brands.

I talked to Ray at z5 last week and he was real helpful. Seems like a great company with an awesome product. As a boat manufacterer I wouldn't pick a tower that didn't work with z5. My favorite option. Wish them the best.

I def hope supra doesn't give up the traditional option. I can't be the only one that loves the classic wakeboat look!

only showed the wife one picture-the 22 supra worlds, i think i would sign on the bottom line in a split second to have that one.
