Andrew (Jet) and I hit up Hydrous on New Years Eve and Day, Ash came out and snapped a few pics. We had a blast, the water varied from 48-50 all weekend, 70 degrees Saturday and 55 Sunday air temp!

Hmmmm - I always thought you were goofy but I didn't know you rode that way.

Water in the slew looks pretty glassy though!

I ride around 22-23. The music wouldn't be my first choice, but it wasn't my boat and I didn't care because I was riding. Here I thought you would pick apart my riding... but the music?

First time i even seen you ride man, on your boat i get the impression is strickly Goofy Surfing only lol. I thought your ridding looked great bro, i like the slow transitions from reg to goofy, the slow motion powerslide looked sweet too. Looked good to me man, untill the jump.. LOL

I was thinking kind of similar but then I thought about how stiff my joints would be from the cold and how I'd be shivering. No criticism from here.

I'm getting much better at riding but my biggest problem is letting go with left hand for balance. When I land with the new board, if I don't have both hands on the handle my one hand pulls me towards the boat. With my old board it didn't spin quite so easily. This is only my second time out with it so I'm a little apprehensive. The the first time I rode that board, I went really big and landed way out in the flats only to have the board spin a little catching an edge and slapping me to the water. I was sore for 2 weeks.


It didn't help that I forgot my life jacket and all my buddy had was a large. I had a sweatshirt on with the drysuit so by the time I was able to zip and buckle the vest I couldn't take a full breath. Last thing I wanted to do was have another gnarly crash in cold water. Felt great to get out and have a new years beer or 6 with a little fireball to keep me warm.

Dusty it was a BLAST!! 5-hrs sat and 3-hrs sun a marathon weekend for winnter!! But quit posting that dork shot. lmao. Handle at my hip..handle at my hip.. Im working on my style now.

Man some of you moomba maniacs are maniacs for getting in the lake at those temps. My hat off to all of y'all, I'm with Kane....stayin in the truck on days like those. Call me a sissy!!

Pickle rode great.
I didnt spend much time to figure it out, tried different fins to see the ones i liked. I wore some 5mm boots and board felt funny. Board was really fast and i like the forgiving round tail, fin boxes were set back .5" and board never slid out or felt out of control. Only changes to the design would be lighter construction and lighter traction. I want a 5# board.8-)

Dusty..we forgot to tell them about the 70 year old man (YES 70) that was at the cable park hitting everything, riding switch and doing surface 360's. I think his name was Mark also?? 70 yrs old hitting the cable park which is way harder than just riding behind the boat. Very cool.

New Guy, I'm from Dixon, IL. But I basically grew up at a cabin in Eagle River, WI and every winter I take a couple of trips to the UP snowmobiling. I've skied the normal resorts (Indianhead, Powderhorn, old Blackjack, etc) but have yet to make it to Bohemia.

Gotcha you FIB. Bohemia is awesome I love skiing it, we try and make it up there atleast once a year. If you ever want to go let me know. I'm pretty much on the way for you.
