Would anybody be interested in a ballast / prop group buy this time of year? Is there anybody willing to set something up similar to last Aug?

The vendor already agreed to do another group buy similar to what they did in August, but they asked that it not be more frequent than annually and liked the "end of summer blowout" timing. We might be able to do something if there is enough interest, but I wouldn't expect it to be on the same scale as August. Maybe we could focus on the props specifically? Or is it ballast you're looking for? I'll help organize however I can.

I'm looking to get three Johnson pumps. A 750 sack for mid ship and a new prop. Needless to say Santa brought me some nice boat money.

Nevermind I just ordered the 1847 from Nettle and I'll just work with wakemakers.

I'm looking at adding an 1847 and possibly some custom made ballast bags - not sure they'd allow the custom bags with a group buy discount.

Personally, I'd much rather see the group buy timing at or near the start of the season, so we can put our new mods to good use right away, rather than the end of season and having them sit on a shelf or in the box for months.

I hear you Berg, some of us aren't blessed enough to have 9 month seasons like the southerners.

BTW Nettle has a smoking price on the 1847 $475

How about a batch of group buy options right around tax return time! Now that could be dangerous...

I second that motion!

I hear you there! Although we have open water again so maybe I should pull the boat out for a new years wake session...

So what should we do next? Newty just did the underwater LEDs, so maybe the Moomba letters or audio?

I'd buy a set of the Moomba letters and a guy can always use more audio.

I would love a prop ballast group buy. I had no money the last time and I want to get a 1847 and an IBS before the season gets going again.

I'm down for a new prop before the season starts. Ballast is set. Hope to post end of year pictures of surf session on sat dec 31.

I'd be interested in the Chrome 3D Moomba side lettering as I need to replace the stock ones I took off (they got torn up with a close encounter of the dock kind). They aren't cheap so a group buy would be great!!!

I'd be in for the chrome lettering as well. One side of the boat looks perfect and the other requires a complete removal (another bad dock encounter).

So who has a great dealer that would be willing to sell the 3d chrome Moomba lettering for reasonable.

I'm wondering if ATL Marine might want to be behind it?

I've exchanged voicemails with a SC rep to see if we can get something directly from them. If that doesn't pan out though I agree, ATL would probably be the next phone call. They are great to work with!

Wasn't there someone on here recently that had a shop that was making the chrome 3d lettering? Whatever happened with those? They were substantially cheaper than OEM ones.

I want to replace some Ballast bags too. Was thinking of tax time like some of the others. Ok I dont know what the 1847 is, can someone tell me? Rick

What are the advantages of it though. I knew it was a prop but not sure how it improves the wake, is it more for surfing? Better hole shot for ski?

Holeshot - pulling power - etc.

Have a look at this Rick. Extensive testing done by some of our members here. https://forum.moomba.com/showthread.php?15139-Prop-Test-Results-Part-2&highlight=prop+test+results

Thanks Berg, that explains a lot. Seems like this is the better prop. Man its supposed to be 64 on saturday. Me and the buddys talking about getting on of our boats out and Chilling out in the water. Only have wet suits and cooler filled with HOT water to keep us warm....Should I attempt? Hmmmmm.....

It was 70 out here today and I was really wishing we were on the water. We even went by the boat storage to put a few things up

It's in the same thread KG posted above. Atlanta Marine will help us out. They quoted me $350/set + shipping.
