I'm not entirely sure on the tower speakers yet, I like the painted setup of the XM9's, but they may be a bit out of my price range for now having just bought the boat, and getting ready to order a new cover sometime in the next few days. This is my first V-drive, coming from a 2000 Malibu Sunsetter lx. These boats rarely pop up in my neck of the woods, so I feel fortunate to have stumbled across the LSV:). I'm looking for to contributing to the forums a bit once I start working on things, just need that warm weather to show up first.

Glad to have another midwesterner on the forum. Are you looking at an Evolution cover? Do you primarily wakeboard or surf or ?

I live in Decatur, IL and our lake flat out sucks. Its small, dirty, and relatively shallow (deepest spots are 15 ft or so), so I tend to travel a bit one way or another to get on the water. We typically wakeboard, but I am planning to pick up surfing this season. I never really felt as though there was enough room in the sunsetter to lay out the sacks, so i never tried surfing.

Well, you have a great hull for surfing now. How far are you from Lake Shelbyville? Is it still a nice lake? It's been about 20 years since I was on it.

My house is about 45 minutes from lake shelbyville, and that was the primary lake for this boat. Its still the largest lake in the area by far, and the cleanest in my opinion. We either try to get there or to Clinton Lake since it is a heated lake. The heat sure is nice when its early april, or late in the season

Never been on that one but sure loved Shelbyville when we were there. Heat's gotta be great that early in the year around there.
