Ok... was having this discussion this morning with a friend...

Let's say you are going to be reincarnated, you will be turning 18 during war time... which war would you choose?

Civil
WW1
WW2
Korean Conflict
Vietnam

We work long days and get bored around here :)

Civil - No way medical killed more then the enemy
WW1 - No way we had some of the worst weapons compared to our enemy
WW2 - No way see above comment
Korean Conflict - Dont even know this war LOL
Vietnam - Last choice but still the one id rather be in. At least we had decent weapon and 5 dolla make you halla options

If i really had to choose it would the the Gulf because we pretty much owned the entire thing start to finish and we lost the least amount of Military folk

Yes... I was careful to put "Conflict" in the Korean one... I left out the Gulf on purpose, although I have NO doubt it was Hell...

civil war - 625,000 KIA 1.988% of population
WWI - 116,516 American KIA .110% of population
WWII - 405,399 American KIA .307% of population
Korea - 36,516 American KIA .02% of population
Vietnam - 58,209 American KIA .03% of population

so by the number I will say Korea, seems I would have the greatest chance of coming home alive.

WWII. Because then, live or die I would have contributed to beating Hitler, etc. and would have had the opportunity to fight alongside the greatest generation of heroes our country has known since the Revolution. They came home and changed this country but never forgot what they fought for. Never met one that would not do what was right just because it was right.

thank god I took prednisone during my pre-teen years for asthma and the military didn't want me at 18 :)

I'll stay home and support you all....

Perfect answer. I'd fight alongside my g'pa and wife's great uncle. Honorable group, whom there aren't too many left of. Honor them while you can. If you see an old guy in a restraunt wearing a WWII cap, pay for his meal.
