I finally got the wheels done on my truck. They were Helo rims that were pitted out pretty bad so I had them powdercoated gloss black. I went with the Cooper ST Maxx 33's. Let me know what you think.

Nice boys!!

That is what happens when the boat gets put away. The nice thing is we bust out the sleds.

How much did it cost to get the powdercoating done? Did you have to do anything prior to droping then off?

Mike they sand blasted three of the rims but one of them was double chromed at the helo factory for some reason so it had to be chemically stripped ($75) with that it came to $435 for everything. They are powder primed and then coated. I could have done it for less if that rim wasn't screwed up and I just had them coat the rims, no primer. It would have come to $320. I've know the owner since high school and I thought that was a very fair price considering the work that had to go into them.

I called around to several places and found a place that did alot of patio furniture. They had done some wheels but didn't advertise it. They did my boat and truck (14s and 22s) for 30 bucks a wheel. That is simply taking them an empty wheel and they sandblast and powdercoat. The shops that were more geared towards wheels were charging 45 to 60 a wheel.

Ok sounds decent enough, i have been thinking of black out on my trailer rims as well, i think they would really look sweet with my color combos.
