My dad bought a big bayliner I/O. Anything special need to be done to winterize it?

Same as inboard regarding block and exhaust manifold draining. I like to hook up a portable sump pump to the ears and then run the pink A/F thru it with the out drive in a big bucket and plastic to recapture the AF or I've seen a kiddy pool used as well. Also you need to replace the gear oil on older outdrives. On newer ones they have reservoirs so I just pull the lower plug to make sure there is no water contamination in the oil.

Ok so we tackled Winterizing my dads bay liner today. Found something that I think is pretty awesome and moomba and indmar should incorporate. To drain the water from his motor there is a blue valve you turn to open, then there are two blue vents, remove these three easy to get to items and all the water is drained in about 2 minutes...

And once you and or dealer winterized the bayliner all it takes to summerize is to hook up the battery. They use some type of biodegradable stuff that don't hurt the lake water when it's time to go out the first time of the season. Not so easy with the moomba I suppose

Read your manual, make sure the exhaust manifold gets drained as well, they do make it easy. Also ,looks like you need to top up your lower unit gear oil reservoir.

The exhaust manifold hoses all go to the piece on the front with all the hoses. Everything is connected, we did however disconnect the heater hoses and blow the heater core out with compressed air since it sits lower than the hoses that fill it
