Today my dad and I were doing some Christmas shopping when we stumbled upon this place in our own backyard....

Place is called lakes of Katy and it has some awesome houses as well as nice boats, we were lucky that the gate to get it was stuck open

A lot of private lake communities won't let V-drives on them. I know of a couple in the Central Texas area that are direct drive only. Nice looking lake though, probably too shallow to get a good wakeboard wake anyways.

Looks like you would have to really hustle to hit the wake 4 times on a wakeboard. I've been on small lakes like that and it kinda sucks having to turn around so much you almost feel under pressure the whole time like you can't take your time or you just wasted a pass. I still think it's an awesome idea the runs just seem too short for wakeboarding and more geared toward skiiing.

It's def geared toward skiing, every run has ski course bouys and one has a huge ramp.

This place must allow v drives because I saw a möbius LSV, a wake setter, and some x series mastercrafts.

As for the Katy ski jam I have never heard of that so I really don't know

I don't know a thing about the Texas real estate market, but it looks like a great house, and not bad at $700,000!

man what a dream- can you imagine stepping out your back door to ski in those conditions year round? and soak in the pool when you're done! Then once a summer the pros come in for the katy ski jam www.katyskijam.com

If only I had 700k and a job in Texas!

It's only been on the market 602 days, someone should jump on this quick.

You might be able to rent the lot for the whole summer for $500 these days.
