But hey, I'm super excited, and not too many people can say this:

My 2nd patent just got published! :D
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/8046987.html

I知 co-inventor on both of them. I知 also co-inventor on 2 others that are going through the process. I知 working on one that I知 the sole inventor on, but am having trouble getting funding within my company right now...

Very cool! So once you've got the patent what's next? Are you pitching this to companies with hopes of selling/licensing?

Are Pratt and Whitney interested in this design?

Congrats, Ryan! Proud of you. Now hit it big and get yourself a new MOJO so we can test it out!

I think that's who we were working with on it, but it actually got dropped right after the patent was applied for. As far as I know, it isn't going anywhere :(

@BrainRinse, The company I work for "owns" all patents that any employee comes up with. So i don't have to pitch or try to sell anything.

I wish! Lol. $750 upon formal application for patent and another $750 and a plaque upon patent publish. Not great, but better than nothing. Not a new MOJO, that's for sure!!!

If it has only my name on it, the amounts are doubled...Hopefully my company will fund the idea I have so I can move towards a patent on it...Or at least try my idea out..I like to play ;)
