View Full Version : What Do You Need? What's Lying Around Or In A Box Somewhere? Giving Season.

OK, the speedo thread got me thinking. Lots of us have old boat junk sitting in boxes that we'll never use. Others may have older boats, limited budget, whatever. We tried to do something like this once before. Things are slow so let's try again. If you have something you'd give away if a fellow board member needed it and would pay the shipping, list it here. Pay it forward. You never know when you'll need something too.

I have a box with a GIII three outlet manifold, a ballast strainer I don't use, a stainless grab handle that looks like a rounded "U" I picked up for a different boat and I know I'll never use, an extra original sprinkler valve (Orbit 3/4" I think), and more stuff I'll add if I get a chance to look around tonight. If anyone needs any of this, send me a PM.

How about you? What do you have? What do you need (yea, I know, a new Mojo. Let's keep it real.)

Added: Stock black windshield mirror mount

Two Rule uh, 700 pumps I think they are? Both with 3/4" fittings
Half dozen or so 3/4" fly-high quick connects and fittings (W742's and W736's)
Bag full of 3/4" hose clamps
Couple fly-high W730 quick-twist thread adapters (for hand held pump)
Couple 3/4" hose barb T-fittings
Soon to have four 3/4" black thru hulls with 90-degree (still need to find something to plug them with when they come out)
Few oznium blue led couple holder modules
Stock Speedo gauge - Beede, white face, from a 2001.

Probably some other odds and ends laying in the same box...

I've got a few rubber inserts or whatever you want to call them for the inside of tower clamps for things like speakers and racks. I have a few different thicknesses. Also might have a small slalom mirror laying around.

Hey Rsinger. What color are your speaker covers. I have a couple where the screw holders are broken. My 2003 Outback speakers are off white, well faded white I guess.

Is it what you're looking for? How broken? I just noticed that there is a crack in the plastic in at least one of mine. The one I took the picture of is good.

rsinger. Upon further investigation and looking at some pictures, my speakers are grey, and a different front design. Thank you for all your pictures and help. I think if I were to replace them, I would do all 6 instead of having different colors.

Thanks Again.

Also, how does everybody feel about having this as a sticky thread? On the 'bu forums they call it their "Perpetual Freebie Thread" and it's in the classifieds section... I thought that was kind of cool.

But I also like the idea of the season of giving

I have a Fossil swim platform with a small amount of damage. With a little gel repair or creative fixin it would make a good freebie. You pay shipping.
Shaft if you rhino lined it or coated it with something you could make it any color you want.

pics please?

I'll try to get you some over the next day or two. It had a stainless hand rail for a supra on it so there are holes from where it was mounted. You could buy one of those Supra rub rails to mount and it would cover up most of the damage.

I've got the following to give away. Just pay for shipping. Send me an email to [email protected] if interested as I don't check this site every day. I'm in the Portland, OR area.

I've got 4 of the black plastic thru hulls (replaced mine with stainless). One of them is shown below:

I've got 11 cupholders that I pulled out when I replaced mine with stainless. Not sure of the exact size.

The bottom had some delamination, all cosmetic but SC warrantied it right after I bumped the rail and put a bug chip in it. I have the same platform now with the new gray moomba decking.

i had some issues with my perfect pass not working right it wouldn't turn on ...it just beeped i spent a month working with perfect pass about this and they shipped me a new module twice and never sent a prepaid slip to send the old ones back i called once and told them about it and still never got it and they never bothered me one time so i got 2 modules collecting dust. i wanna keep one on hand in case mine takes a crap on me but i think this is about a 500 dollar item. thought about selling it but thought that might be bad karma...my luck i'd blow my engine trying to make a few bucks off a free item as it was warrantied. turns out the issue was in the wiring not the module so if anyone is in need of this get at me... i'll give one away if you pay shipping

I can add to that and throw in a PP throttle control wire that hooks up from the linkage to the servo. Gary at PP sent me 2 lengths to try and use the one with the best fit. I asked about shipping the shorter one back and he said to just keep it. No idea what it's worth but if anyone needs one it's yours.

glad my boat came with it not know how important it really is i thought it was an option i could live without but boarding behind the boat when it wasn't working sucked so it really is worth the money in my opinion.

David,

I think you will need the display for the dash and the wiring harness (which you might also get for free from this thread!).
