View Full Version : Need speedo for 2003 outback

One of my speedometers failed. There is no consistency to the speed indicator. I'm looking at 2 options at this stage.

1. Buy perfect pass. Display will replace existing bad speedo.
2. Buy a replacement speedo.

I suspect that these units are universal across the moomba brand, and that some of you have speedometers sitting on a shelf in a shed somewhere. Just don't want to throw it out.

I think that I have one from my PP install. I will look when I get home.

If you don't have PP winter is the perfect time to install it.

Not sure if you are the do it yourself type, but we went through a dealership and we weren't going to save any money by replacing our speedo vs perfect pass (especially since we wanted to go perfect pass eventually) - we went the perfect pass route.

If you don't have PP winter is the perfect time to install it.

Unfortunately, the earliest I can do any work on the boat is spring. It's at an unheated storage facility.

I have one from my PP install this summer as well. Beede, white with chrome ring. Just sitting in a box with a bunch of other boat stuff.

Really glad you were referring to speedometer rather than a clothing choice. I was going to have to post a pic of me in my favorite boat speedo!

To go one further, I've never seen an outback in a speedo, if you really want to take the title literally.

We're not going to start to stray with this thread, are we?

White speedos are the best. Throw in a little chrome bling.
