This is short video I put together from some iPhone clips from a couple months ago. For anyone wondering the weight setup is stock gravity 3 full, a 750 across the bow seats and 6 people in the cabin of the boat I'm guessing a total of somewhere between 2800 and 3000lbs. Speed in the first clip was 24.5 and 24.2 in all the rest, wakeplate was all the way up.

What length are you at? Any tips on how to get the pop like you do. Make it look so effortless

Dude that was sweet. The toe side invert landing out in the flats at about 2:20. Big kahunas my man. Yeah, serious pop. Serious ballast too!

The line length was 65ft. I would like to ride a longer line to decrease tension but to me that is the sweet spot for the wake with the wakeplate all the way up. I've rode 70ft but had to put the plate down a little bit to get the wake clean at that length and I feel like the wake just isn't as good once you start putting the wakeplate down a little bit but I like the wake steep.

My only advice for getting good pop is holding your edge all the way through the top of the wake and make sure you use the whole wake and don't push through the lip at the top.

This is on the brazos just north of lake granbury.

Great riding! Your spins are awesome.

If you want to ride longer rope you are right that you have to bring the plate down. To get the steepness back you just need a little more weight in the back. I ride a very similar setup to you a lot of the time. It's a great wake and easy on gas. But sometimes the big wake, long rope is a blast so I put about 6-700 lbs in each locker and bring the plate down.

bzubke - Take my hat off to you. Know little about wakeboarding, but easy to see that you are good and have been working hard. Sure wish I had that smooth water when skiing. Really enjoyed the video! - Deerfield

Nice riding. Dont think I will ever get to that level, in fact with how ugly my switch is I don't think I'll ever be able to do a 180! Nice video tho!

You can it just takes some practice and a few hard falls. I've only really been wakeboarding since we got our boat in july of 09. If you really wanna get better quick take a lesson or two from a good coach. I had been trying toeside backrolls all summer and never getting any closer to landing one and gave up on them. I took a thirty minute lesson with brian sasser at texas mastercraft and nailed 3 of them by the time I left and have had them consistent ever since.

I live across 820 from there... do they do the lessons at that cable park there? How much was it?

Yeah I can see how lessons help. I couldn't even land w2w all summer until the Moomba Jam and StangKillaSS and his girl came down from killeen and gave me some coaching. Now my w2w is very consistent but I have not really gotten any training since then. My whole crew is at about the same skill level which means we can all do w2w and thats it haha. Wish I had some people who were good to ride with so they could teach us how to do stuff.

They do the lessons on the lake there where they have the pro tour. I'm sure you could do lessons on the cable but i did mine behind the boat which was an mb sports f21 tomcat. You're looking at about $100 an hour but it's well worth it, i'll probably go once a month next season.

It helps a ton to ride with people that are better than you, or even just be able to tell you what you're doing wrong. Check out learnwake.com It has a bunch of how to videos and you can upload your own videos and the coaches will look at them and tell you what you are doing right and wrong. Thats probably the closest thing you will get to doing a lesson without actually doing one.
