Tonight is the BIG GAME for the local HS football teams in my area. One of my girls is in the Grayson cluster, the other in the Brookwood cluster. We recently moved so that all the kiddos will end up at Brookwood HS due to incredible academics & athletics. Brookwood has been named a NewsWeek Top 150 HS in the US.

Grayson is a relatively new school and only about 5 miles from Brookwood. They have quickly built a tremendous football program and have made it into the playoffs the last few years, but Brookwood is the defending State Champs and have won several state football titles as well as state titles in other sports.

The rivalry got heated up this year as the two schools put together these videos. Pretty impressive for HS kids.

Those are so LAME! Let your play do the talking.

My HS were state champs: 1975–76, 76–77, 77–78, 78–79, 81–82, 87–88, 90–91, 99–2000, 00–01, 01–02, 03–04, 04–05, 07–08. Maybe you've heard of a couple of guys who played there: Mike Alstott '92 or Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger '66?

Here's video from a game this year-- these guys always come to play and don't shoot whiny rap videos about it:

By the way, their rival is Mount Carmel where Donovan McNabb and Simeon Rice attended. They won the state championship in 1980–81, 88–89, 89–90, 90–91, 91–92, 96–97, 98–99, 99–2000, 00–01, 02–03.

Aside from whether either team is any good, these are great videos....the high school kids in my area struggle every year to come up with a good clean way to promote the local high school rivalry....like you pointed out Drew, these kids did a great quality job and kept it clean which is a great way to promote the rivalry...thanks for posting. I showed it to my kids in hopes to inspire them for next year...

Thanks. Just to add to the inspirations - the kids that put those together have been on local & national TV and you can now find the songs on itunes. A few have landed deals from the entertainment field (both record and video) and it's helped others with college applications, if they were shooting for something in entertainment.

BTW - the Grayson team won 14-7 on a pick 6 with 42 seconds left in the game.

Just to add to this.....Grayson has the number one high school football player in the COUNTRY playing defensive end for them. And he is a Junior. Most experts put him as the top player in the state of Georgia last year as a sophomore.

6'5 270 lbs of pure rip. As a 16-17 year old kid. Can you even imagine?

Grayson is quickly becoming one of the top programs in 5-A football in the state. They also play in the toughest region in the state. Go Rams.
