The under seat cooler thing that really doesn't work very well? If so then it may just leak water into the under seat storage... Put some silicone or even better some 5200 on the cracks...

Now you have a great excuse to cut the whole thing out and add ballast under there for better surfing. Whoever called it a "cooler" was way too optimistic.
