Just catching up on a few things I wanted to get done now that the season is over.

I added a midship drainplug as mentioned in another thread. It was fairly easy, just need to be careful as there is only 3/4" airspace between the hull and fuel tank. I used a standard garboard drain with a 1/2" plug (same as in the transom drain) and #8 x 5/8" flathead SS screws. A Forsener 1" drillbit and a bit of masssaging with a die grinder made for a perfect fit. A It fit perfectly in the recess between the fins and I doubt very much that it will cause any drag at all as the base of the fins are much taller that the garboard flange. Nice to be able to drain the midship bilge now especially before long term storage.

I also got tired of the cheesy plastic cover on the stern where the rub rail ends so I made one out of a piece of SS pipe and polished it.

Then there was the concern over losing the swim grid if it broke off, so I added some safety cables so at least if it does, it will still be attached to the boat.

Also added pop-up cleats, but that was awhile ago.

Drain looks great. Must admit that you're braver than me with a drill.

I like the pop up cleats, thinking of adding a few to mine. Where did you order yours?

They're made by Sea dog and I got them from Amazon.
I made my own backing plates out of 1/8" x 2" SS flat bar.
