Price advice

One of my kids would like to sell his alpine gear. It's about 3 years old. Anyone got ideas on a fair price? I think he paid over $2k for it new.

check ebay. that should give you some idea of the going rate.
personally, $2k in gear at retail and 3 years old, owned by a young kid, I'd be inclined to offer around $700 tops. one of the challenges with selling car audio, especially as a package is what fit your ride may not be the best solution for my ride.

I'd agree with SandM and say $500 is about all I'd pay for what I see. That's if it's a local stop by and pick up.
Maybe a couple additional amps for your outback :)?

Nope. Don't need to do more work on the boat. If anything, it'll be a perfect pass. But I might buy it from him for my camper, just to save him the hassle of trying to sell it.
