This is a brand new, never used black remote and is back lit.

Comes with 10 ft "Y" cable, 15 ft extension cable, and 20 ft 4 wire security cable. plus manual.
this can be added to as a transom remote and will work with most kenwood units (except the 700 I believe) any steering wheel remote compatibility should work.

I'm assuming this would hook up in tandem with the factory Aeware puck (white) on my 07? Been thinking about installing a transom remote over the winter?

yep. that is what i bought it for.the y cable splits the signal back to the transom.

nope it wont. it needs a steering wheel remote to function.
