So many of you know my 11yr old son is big into TKD, is currently a black belt and test for his second degree this dec. Anyways my son along with a couple other boys he has trained with do a lot of tournaments, many nationaly. We for the last 3 weekends we have been competing locally. Yesterday Dakota took first in forms, then went to the Grand Champion competition which is an all or nothing competition and there he finished 3rd, ah ok. Then comes the sparring. This tournament is an Olympic style and our boys don't really train much in this style. Well Dakota wins his first fight 30 -8. Next figth he's winning again but near the end of the first round he kicks his opponent in the mouth and fight gets stopped. Dakota isn't feeling good all of a sudden and walks out of the ring to get some air. Some one looks down at his feet and see's he's standing in a pool of his own blood and his left foot is bleeding uncontrolably. Six stitches later on his big toe we are on our way home. Man what a day :)

Sled - Can Dakota train or is he sidelined until the injury heals? Tough break. If he keeps up with the sport maybe he can get scholarship money for college? - Deerfield
