the changes in life, in 2005 we went to disney land, i got bronchitis and only rode 4 rides in 3 days. after the visits to the Dr. they decided i had high blood pressure and cholesterol. i thought i was too young to have that stuff so i started running.

i found i was not content with a 5k, 10k etc. tomorrow i will run my first 100. i had planned to do this last August, but family matters prevented that.

so i am just posting to let you know that i will do it, to give myself a little more pressure to go the whole way, to make myself a little more accountable to finish. planning to make this in about 21 hours. i presume i can type after, but likely not walk.

so give me a cheer at 9:00am mtn time when the race starts, maybe another 1 or 2 along the way, i think ill need a little caffeine some time in there as well. much of the race will be along a reservoir, i doubt many will be riding, but i'll wave to them, and wish it was me.

Too far and too long! Really, 21 hrs straight running? That is impressive and I wish you the best!

Post some pics of your feet Sunday morning. And remember: ice, ice baby.

Based on Todd's descriptions and home state location of Colorado, I suspect he is running the Boulder 100. According to the event web site, it's a 7.4 mile trail around Boulder Reservoir. Should be a pretty run, with the Rockies in the background. I have no idea what pace he runs for a 10k, but, assuming he slows down to a 12-minute mile pace, that means this cat will be running for twenty hours straight. Man, that's hard even to imagine. I would think that at some point the body just says "no more" and you lay down for nap. Got to take my hat off to him. He'll make it, though. Slow and steady will git er done. Go, Todd!

Really? Nuthin? I can think of a few things, but if I could actually do them, I would be in a different profession.

man, I walk an average of 5 miles a day in our warehouse(375000sqft), but asthma prevents me from running more than a 1/4 mile without dying.

impressive to do 100 :)

I made it! A bit slower than I hoped. 22:41. After I get all pulled together I'll post a few pics. Only a couple small blisters so the foot pics aren't too gross.

Thanks for the help.

I had to search for this again i was waiting to see how ya did. Congratz man congratz. I cant even imagine doing that. I ride 13 miles 3 times a week in the gym and walk a good 4 or 5 miles around the Intel campus doing my normal work but 100 miles all in 1 shot. WOW.
