I shot a video and timed my impeller removal. It took a total of 14 minutes but at least 6 was spent using large needle nose vise grips and looking for silicone spray lube. Anyways , the previous impeller was coated with anti seize on the brass splines internally, once silicone lube was sprayed thru the exit port of impeller housing it took 3 seconds to pull the impeller out with small needle nose vise grip pliers. The majority of time is spent getting the pliers on the impeller between the veins. I grabbed the impeller at the 12 o'clock position. Video is boring but shows how long it takes from cowling removal to impeller in my hands.
