I'm sure there will be several of us considering doing a Seadek over the winter, including myself. Maybe there will even be a group buy. I'd like to see everyone's Seadek so I can get some ideas.

Post your pics up here!

This pic from a day back in Feb. shows the pad pretty well. Still love it. Love the look. Love to climb on it getting out of the water. Great stuff!

Couple hundred dollars at seadek.com. Look under the moomba boats for different types and pricing.

KG. Get the roo on the 24. LOL

JM, sorry, the Roo isn't happening on the 24.

Ian, been patiently waiting on some pics!

Those of you that went 3 sheets instead of a 1 piece, any particular reason why? Anyone that has black had any problems with it? I know they don't warranty the black but it is the color that I would want. I feel like this is going to be a difficult decision.

How many people did yall have to have for the last group buy? Hoping for another one over the winter.

Awe shucks on the roo. The black works great. Mine is under a boat hoist and cover all summer. So far no issues. I love the black over the color sea dek. Ian has had his black color longer than mine. His still looks good.

I bought mine outside the grouy buy.i was slow at the helm

No problems with the "Black" color rubbing off when people get inside the boat?

Used to be that if we had 8, they would offer a 20% discount. But, last time one was organized, a rep from SeaDek told folks here that they were no longer going to offer group buys and instead posted up a discount code. I don't know if that thread survived or if the code is still valid.

The person we worked thru before was Chuck Yates. I think he has neew responsbilities now, but I'd suggest you start there. He was great to work with and I think he has a good understanding of what this board meant to their company landing the Supra OEM contract.

Are the 2011-2012 platforms actual Seadek brand now, or another supplier?

wolfeman131

I know Supra has SeaDek on the platform and I believe Moomba has HydroTurf (I know Moomba does not have SeaDek) on the 2011 boats. Haven't seen or heard that it will be same or different in 2012.

Mine sits out all summer, uncovered and both the black and blue (which is non-UV) look great, much to my surprise actually. We've taken some knicks out of it with skis and wakeboards, but nothing too bad; I think that's only because my pad has so much engraving. I'm still very very happy with it and glad I did the custom design; it gets compliments every time!

The last 2 years SC has used a different product. Its not seadek or hydroturf. Not sure what it is but its a grey pho-teak. It is a little toughter than seadek but looks great. I have a new one on my boat and love it. They want $400 for it from SC... ouch! I had mine replaced under warranty.

My 2010 came with the old black pad, less than a year old I was getting nasty black crap on the feet tracked into the vinyl. Replaced mine with SeaDek fake teak, grey, 3 pc with Roo, looks killer and no black tracks on vinyl.

Are you sure the new stuff isn't SeaDek on the Moombas? I saw a new LSV at the pro wakeboard tour in Acworth in May and it looked like what I now have on my boat, but I could, as is often the case, be wrong :-)

Edit: A spell checker would be nice LOL

Pretty easy process, they're kind of on the expensive side as far as the material is concerned but it comes pre cut, ready to put on, and look awesome!! Here is my review that I did when I put did mine.

I dealt directly with SeaDek for my modified version of the Roo and had the idea for the trailer pads. I measured them up and drew them up (in CAD) and sent them a PDF.

Since they were cutting a custom logo which didn't cost that much more, the trailer pads didn't add much. It was actually pretty painless.

Loved working with SeaDek, HATED stripping the old pad off!!! Think I ended up using gas and a bunch of sweat.

SeaDek is great to work with; I've done 3 custom platform pads (2 for the OBV, just replaced one because of some damage in storage) and a custom cut walk-thru pad - always great!

Your trailer makes me want to get mine done in lime/black - hmmmmmm

ditto, very pleasant to work with Seadek. I had one bubble on me, sent pictures/video, no replacement issues, they have a 3 yr warranty.

Ahhhh! The seed is planted! I actually highly recommend it, it is good looking and very useful vs one boat trailer that I had that used diamond plate which looked good but was downright dangerous.
