...Call it what you will. It is a little wakeboarding, a little skiing and a little everything else. Here is a photo shot of me doing W2Ws on the St John's River over the weekend...

So I think the offical New Age term is 'Shortboard' - get with it ... I actually pulled a guy just the other day on a trick who can do more on that than most wakeboarders I know.

Wow, trick skis. Coincidentaly I had my set out just after labor day weekend. Didn't think anyone knew about these anymore. I can only ride combos, with maybe a 180 surf turn.

LOL! We can start the old farts ski club! You know Benson I taught a 75 yo friend of mine how to deep water start on his kneeboard and several surface tricks. If I can be that spry at 75 I will be EXTREMELY happy!

Yeah - just hope all the joints hold up. I find that when I go really short my joints often complain...

I can imagine. That is one reason I never jumped - among many others - the least of which is fear.... But I knew an old-timer way back who wore mechanical braces on both legs and still ran the course and jumped I think - He was round 70 I think.

I trick ski every year on my birthday, I slalom, trick, wake board, surf and tub with the kids. I would jump if we had a jump available! Ahhh the good old days!

You and I are in the same boat T100. I have to say my absolute favorite is the trick ski because it requires a great deal of skill to wield. I don't do much slalom any more since I took a nasty spill prepping for a team slalom event that cost me a year. I did take my GF and her son's wakeboard for a w2w joy ride not too long ago that REALLY surprised them. But I will take my trick ski and wake skate (Hyperlite Catalyst) any day of the week! I also ride a Jobe kneeboard I got from Andy Mapple that ROCKS! For surfing it is strictly pleasure and I use a Ronix Cortez for that. I tried two (combos) trick skiing and I just couldn't find a driver who didn't beat me down through the cattails on the dogbones. I converted to one, taught my GF how to drive for me, and now I am happy to no longer come home looking like I am into sado-masochistic sex adventures!!!! ;-)
