Anybody using a Thermometer (built in) to take the water temp ?
(I'm talking about the lake/sea water - not cooling).

Would be happy about some ideas, installation instructions, etc.

I have tried the water temp thing on my PP w/o success. When I hit MENU and ON (I think those are the correct buttons) no engine hours or water temp. I have an 05 Mobi LSV with the Wake Board Addition PP. The manual states that only some of the units provide the water temp as an option. If mine has this option, I have not figured out how to access it. I sure would like to have the option and hope I am doing something wrong.

Anyone else get the production PP option on the 05 LSV and have had success accessing the water temp? If so, would appreciate some info on what this old goat may be doing wrong.....

My boat didnt come factory with the Wakeboard PP so I had to put it in. I contacted the manufacturer of the speedo in my boat and asked them if it had a temp sensor built in to it. This is what they said...

"Thank you for contacting AIRMAR Technology Corporation. The speed sensor we supply to Raymarine uses a temperature sensor. If a different sensor was used, it may not have temperature. Temperature is on the brown and white wires. If you measure across these wires you should measure a resistance value around 10K ohms at 77 degrees Fahrenheit. This is compatible with Perfectpass."

Im going to try and connect it this weekend and give it a try.

Perhaps your wires arent connected. Take a peek under the dash and see if there are any brown or white wires that didnt get connected.

Id be interested in others feedback to see if they got a temp reading on their Wakeboard PP.

Smokedog, do you get a temp reading on your PP? If you do, can you take a peek at your hook up and post it here?

I have the Wakeboard Pro PP on my '05 LSV and the temp shows just fine. You are correct in pressing MENU + ON to get the temp and other settings. I just don't recall off-hand if you have to hit MENU a few more times to cycle through everything before the temp shows.

I'll check it out this weekend and reply unless someone beats me to it.

Aftering hitting MENU and ON and not getting anywhere I decided the pull the manual back out. It's MENU + UP ARROW to get the water temperature.
