So what would you guys like to see next? I threw out a couple of ideas but wanted to see what else you guys would be interested in.

"Stop with the group buys and let me rebuild my boat fund!" is a legitimate answer as well

Many missed out on the shirt buy due to the one week window to purchase and I would like to see another buy.

how about a general Exile, Kicker or Wetsounds discount vs specific to tower speakers, similar to the ballast group buy?

how about a moomba mojo group buy price??

can't think of anything that I'm looking for into the next year, but maybe a detailing kit buy including everything needed to detail a boat?
really like a tower mirror as mine is broke, but sounds like most on here already have the one that collapses and probably wouldn't be much interest in that..

I'd like to see group discounts on components for stereo installations

cable, fuses, distribution blocks, perko switches, etc, etc.

i missed out on all the group buys :(

Samson products. Specifically their swivel board racks however they sell exile speakers under the samson name so it would satisfy a speaker buy also!

I'd like to get the t-shirts going again also

i also missed out on the t shirt and prop group buy and would be up for those next go around too.
anyone on the fence about the heater ....just do it you won't be sorry. i followed cab's instructions and it was some of the best money spent with little ones. keep them warm and happy makes for longer days at the lake

Eventually I'd like to get in on a group buy for an Acme prop, perhaps 1433 or 1847...

^^ Ditto that. I see a new prop in my future this coming Spring.

I like the idea of a Detailing kit. I am almost out of all of mine so some new stuff would be nice and I like to put my baby away for the winter nice and clean inside and out.

I'd be interested in a new prop if the price was right.
I'd also look at an evolution cover but there'd have to be a deeper discount than in the past.

OK, then change my vote from Other to Audio.

And get working on that Mojo group buy!

This is the best idea I've heard in a long time! "Hello, Atlanta Marine? Hi, I would like discuss the purchase of 5 Moomba Mojos."

I'd be in on a Perfect Pass / ZeroOff / Whatever group buy.

Chrome letters would be great, nothing cool and expensive like swivel racks or audio. Huge vet bill just killed discretionary spending account :(

09-01-2011, 02:53 PM
Thanks for all the feedback - keep it coming. I'll take some of the more popular ideas and start reaching out to different vendors to see who is interested and what kind of discount is possible.

I'm hoping to keep the group buys rolling every couple of months. We have such a big group and tend to want the same type of gear so it only makes sense to be organized about it and save some cash!

5-blade OJ!!!!

5-blade OJ!!!!

Now thats an idea. Those suckers are $$$$ I could be wrong, but I thought I saw them for a little under $700. Unless the discount was huge, I would probably still pick the chrome Moomba letters.

I could do a winch buy really easy if there was enough interest...

As for the prop group buy, we just did that so I don't think there would be enough interest to get a big discount. The OJ 5 blade is cool but at this point unproven on the SC boats. I will work on that for a future group buy though once we've seen how it performs.

I would get in on multiple items, maybe do a less expensive one, then alternate with a more costly item ....that would help those on a budget get more items...

At this stage, after the ballast group buy drained my bank account, I am most interested in the exile group buy in the late winter or spring. I realize that some cheaper group buys could happen in the mean time but keep the exile thing going, please!

moombahighrider

On second thoughts (in addition to my earlier post), I am interested in the chrome moomba letters, in the meantime, provided the price is right!

how about down sleeping bags

the ones that weigh a pound and a half, are rated for 0 degrees, and compress into the size of a cantelope?

Boating season IS winding down and camping season is not that far off.

Monster cargo rack with a little discount would be nice
