My current setup behind my 02 LSV is a 500-600lb bag in the starboard locker and the ski locker bag full (its the stock bag that came with the boat). I keep the wake plate up and run between 10-11.5. I am usually out with several people so I have them sit in the starboard back corner and possibly a person up front.

With that set up I have no problem getting right up and dropping the rope and having fun on the wave. I get some nice height and curl out of the wave, BUT the sweet spot it sooo short and close to the swim deck. I see pics of ppl riding what seems much further back from the boat than me.

How do I get my wave longer? It is possible without more weight, cause with the current setup and 6-8 ppl I can get some real nice list in the boat, or am I just limited by the size of my boat?

Try putting more weight up front - that should lengthen the pocket.

I have an '07 Ouback V which I believe is the same hull as your boat. I have a 750lb in each locker, and put a 400lb bag in the front directly over the ski locker, which has factory ballast. With 500-600lb + people in the back you definitely need at least on person in the front, maybe two. It makes a huge difference in the wave.

Here is a short video of our wave, 750 in locker, factory ski locker bag, 400 above ski locker, 150lb driver, 200lb passenger sitting behind driver:

Your wave is definitely out longer than mine. Ill move some ppl up front or try some more weight up front.

With my current surf setup the bow is pretty high, its hard to see.
