Almost back to the dock and the engine sputterd once and died. Luckily got pulled in without trouble. No fuel pressure at the schrader valve, so I checked both pumps. They both came on but could be weak. Changed the water/fuel separator but would not fill up after the change. Followed the fuel line to the tank and the supply line was corroded and broken. Thank god it wasn't the return line(umm FIRE). Had to pull the floor out to get to the fitting. Seems like a cheap aluminum fitting.
I wonder if a better quality fitting could be used on both lines to avoid future events. any advice would be great.

So i found a new fitting. It is the whole pickup tube & fitting. Still the cheap aluminum. The guy @ the parts dept. Said I should just let the old pickup tube drop into the tank and not worry about it. Not sure if I agree.
So should I try and pull the tank and clean it out or just drop the old tube and put the new one in?
