Allright everybody, the date is set for the 4th annual Flint River Mini-Jam. We'll meet in Bainbridge, GA at the Earl Maye Boat Basin at about 10:30 a.m. on Sat. Sept. 17th for a day of boarding and surfing family fun. There are new ramps this year and even decent new bathrooms near the ramps in the park. They have also added additional parking. There is camping nearby at KOA (they have a nice pool) and several motels.

Here's a link to the surviving pictures from last year. Sure hope everybody who has been there in the past returns and we also see some new faces.

I won't be able to make it this year. We are going to have family in from out of town from that Thurs to that Monday.

Hope that you have a good time.

I'm sorry to hear you guys won't be there. Well, hopefully we see some new faces this year. On Sat. the water was clear and cool. You could see the bottom up to about 10 feet or so.

Flint River Mini-Jam -- 4th Annual-- only 11 days away. Looking like weather in the low to mid 80's and lots of sun. Google Map Bainbridge, GA for the launch point. It's really not that far, is it?????? How's this? I will personally pick up and host anyone of the Moomba Roo Crew on here who wants to fly in. Ryan? Joe?

We are gonna need 8 tickets departing from Dallas, and 3 from Arkansas (if they even have an airport..might send a horse and buggy)

You got that handled?

Woah ... That is alot of chips.

Our last trip to Georgia wasn't bad ... Might as well go again.

Wish it was half the distance and I'd consider. Guess we will have our own mini jam ... with 3 bags of chips. :(

It's funny you mentioned it. Wolfeman, Moombadaze and I talked about trying to plan something with you guys. We'll have to see if there is somewhere we could all meet up about halfway in between some time next summer. All Supra/Moomba owners welcome too. Need a nice lake, camping on the water with sites where you can pull the boat up to the site would be best.

dusty2221
09-16-2011, 11:33 AM
We should for sure try to figure that out. I did the Dallas to ATL drive to pick the boat up, with a pit stop in Arkansas to pick KG up....it's doable, but I def would like to not do it again!

4-5 hours for at least a 3-4 day trip is legit to me

Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama .... That's what we have to choose from. I don't know about that guys. Sounds sketchy.

wolfeman131
09-16-2011, 11:48 AM
Yeah, sketchy as I need a hotel too. My idea of "roughing it" is a Fairfield Inn.

But, we do have JesseC and jmb in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, AL. If we do something around Tuscaloosa, bet we can talk Stuart into coming down to visit his son & join us on the water.

kaneboats
09-16-2011, 11:55 AM
Nothing like having inside info on where to go too. I'd love to go to Tuscaloosa and wear some Gator gear.

wolfeman131
09-16-2011, 11:58 AM
You'll only get to wear it on your boat! Don't want mine to get torpeedo'd

kaneboats
09-16-2011, 12:03 PM
You can wear your gear from THE Tatoo U.

BTW, I assume you are going to DVR the tatoo game at home.

I just tasted the homemade salsa- mmmmm-- need a beer now though.

Oh yeah, Bama fans totally get the idea of paying players. They'll just laugh at me for having a team that was dumb enough to get caught.

We had another successful Flint River MiniJam. This year's edition was much smaller. Only 3 families and 2 Moombas. But, we had perfect weather. It started out cool and overcast on the way but developed into a clear 87 degree day with 76 degree water. There were only about 5-6 other boats on the whole river so we had it mostly to ourselves. Everyone had a great time. Moombadaze, Wolfeman and I got to take off together for Dad's surfing hour which turned into about 2 hours and tired legs. Kids played, wakeboarded and surfed a little. At the end of the day I got out the only tube we brought and let them air it up once we were too tired to do anything else. It was a beautiful perfect day. I wish more of our owner friends and guests could have joined us. Thank you to everyone who came and brought great attitudes and had fun. Thank you also to this year's sponsors, Wise Chips and Lakewakes Wakesurf Boards. Wise provided tons of chips for everyone to enjoy. Lakewakes sent a demo board for us to try out. It was cool and lots of fun. I'll try to post a video below of someone riding the board.

Here's some pics of the day:

Built by the Pittsburgh Bridge Company, located in a small suburb south of Pittsburgh.

Eventually the PBC became The American Bridge Company and the small town where it was located was then renamed "Bridgeville, PA".

A second office of the ABC was located in a town which is now called "Ambridge, Pa"
