We got caught in the rain today. We headed back to the Marina @ 30MPH. This was one of the first times this year I ran it faster than wakeboard speeds.

After 2-3mins @ 30MPH, all of a sudden I loose power and cant got faster than 25MPH. Then I notice no matter how much throttle I give it, she wont go past 3,000 RPM.

Perfect Pass GPS was off when it happened. All gauges were reading normal.

Any ideas what to look for?

Start with fuel filter.

The fuel filter is brand new. I replaced it at the beginning of the season. It only has 25hrs on it.

This seems to be an electrical issue. I could see that the RPM was limited to exactly 3,000 RPM on my Perfect Pass.

I could not squeeze one more RPM no matter how much throttle I gave it.

I think PP is making something stick or something. Have you tried to reset it? I'd think about giving them a call to see if this is a known issue. Please keep us posted on this.

I could try to reset it. What is the procedure again?

I know I need to hold down some buttons before I turn the key. Just not sure witch ones.

Manuals: http://www.perfectpass.com/pp_support_usersmanual.html

Stargazer Wakeboard edition says:

Turn key ON and quickly press and hold “ON/OFF” and “Menu Keys” together for about 5 seconds until
[ SYSTEM RESET ^ = YES ] appears. Answer the questions including YES to [Wake Edition Only ^ =
YES].
