Hello everyone,
I am looking at getting a new 2011 LSV, and would be trading in my 05 LSV. Are the 2011 seats considerably deeper than what would be on my 05? Is the boat considerably bigger with the new hull?

I don't really have the option to easy go check any out, and wanted to get a feel on a few things. Any other big differences you could point out would be great.

Sweet boats. I would definatly get the new tower. But I hear they are coming out with an entirely new boat in 2012.

Dave107 if I'm not mistaken your 2005 LSV would be the same hull as my 2008 obv. Indeed the 2011 LSV would have much deeper seats and I think it's much more comfortable. It also has substantially more storage and can more fit more ballast in the V-drive compartment. As my dealer says "there's a reason it's the best selling V drive"

I have a 2005 LSV and my best friend had until recently a 2006 LSV. So as far as comparing hulls then the 2006 is going to be identical to the 2011.

Having ridden in both extensively, I can tell you that the most noticeable difference is riding in very rough chop. I boat on a lake that is notorious for really rough chop. Sucks. But that is another story. His 2006 definitely seemed to handle it much better than mine.

Boarding behind both, the 2006 has a steeper climb up to the lip when wakeboarding. The surf wake is a noticeable difference which should not be a shock bc as mentioned he was able to fit more ballast in his than I can mine. But if you are looking simply at no ballast 2005 vs 2006, then yes there is a difference, but I would not say night and day.

The 2006 sits higher in the water than mine which I liked. It is a bigger boat and it feels as such.

Everything else you are getting in a 2011 is obviously going to be more along the lines of a cosmetic upgrade, although I believe the ballast system changed from our 2005 as well. Someone else may chime in on specifics as I am not sure.

And I know it's a pricey upgrade, and I may be in the minority but get that new tower. It's sharp looking man.

Congrats on the new purchase and be sure to post up some pics so I can show my wife that "everyone is doing it" and further my argument for an upgrade.

No experience with the older hull but one of my favorite things about the 06+ LSV is I can fit two wakeboards in each of the storage compartments next to the motor. I'm not talking about two kids boards, this weekend I had my 143 and a friends 144 in the same rear locker.

I put 4 in there every weekend and two surfboards and other stuff in the other one. The rear lockers are incredible.
