We need to come up with some Inter Moomba Surfing Challenges.

Yesterday was one of those days where everything was perfect.

Overcast, low humidity, 90 degree air temp, 85 degree water temp, no wind and the entire lake was smooth as glass.

Everyone in the boat was able to surf around the entire lake.

I have to admit - it was pretty boring.

I was thinking about our "surf a mile challenge", but that turned out to be too easy.

Maybe we should see who can do the most unusual things while surfing...

like juggling while surfing, playing an acoustic guitar while surfing...

Last year we had a beer can stack challenge while riding. Pop cans if no juice on the lake.
Rule is no littering, so if you drop one, you gotta bail and pick them up. Obviously empties.

I still haven't done 2 boat wakesurfing. Weighted opposite, creates a huge center spline you can surfe the regular side or Goofy. Good drivers are key (one with PP, the other just keeps good spacing/even).

2 people on the same board surfing. A lot of fun. I haven't landed a 3 with my 5yr old son on my shoulders.

Maybe you should strap on a wakeboard and try different jumps. Sounds like you're just cruising and a little slashing. Try doing some 360's or shuvs. I know the Outback V is not going to allow for big airs.

We have done a game of catch when two of us are out there. We tried making a samich with all the fixins, that went well at best. We have dome all the goofy things, Drink a soda, eat, toss marshmellows and try and get them in the persons mouth, chips and dip. i guess it's boring sometimes but it is still better tham nothing.

I am going to try the stack of soda can thing.

yup, arleardy started working on 360's.

That's how I ended up surfing with the 2 fins facing the boat - kinda got stuck in the position :)

That's what I like about the CWB Ride, you can remove the two outer fins and reverse the center fins - like a wakeboard configuration.

OK, I've changed my opinion :)

If I could even just get up on a board and cruise in a straight line, I'd be happy.

Think one could get pulled out of the water one handed?

Yeah you can get pulled up one handed. That is how I would get up at first. I would hold the rope with my led hand and take my other hand to help me hold the board under my feet. Now I don't worry about holding the board anymore.

interesting - I have never held the board, so one handed does sound do-able ...at least "tryable"

Here is a video of me starting with one hand. Sorry low quality. From my phone.

I also have a rope with a handle. Not sure if that matters. Might be easier with one hand.

Wolfeman's daughter #2 gets up one handed all the time. But, she's also a freak of nature. More strength per pound than a spider monkey.

My little spider monkey in action. Just like saskyrider, she had to use her "weak" arm this weekend due to an injury.

All Righty then!

My cast comes off in 2 weeks, then I go into a brace - but I will be able to get the brace wet.

You wouldn't belive how not being able to get your arm wet really puts a damper on your life...especially when living in a hot, humid climate.
