Oil consumption on 325 assault

what kind of oil consumption do you have on your indmars?

since may it has gone down about half way on the dipstick between full and "add". Just wondering if this is normal or higher than normal? I know some consumption is normal not sure whats "normal" though

Of course hours are the measuring stick, and type of hours....lots of surfing?? they do need occasional top ups!! sounds normal to me subz :cool:

Mine doesn't burn any oil at all.

I would "guestimate" I use about a 1/4 of a quart of oil every 20 hours.

My indmars have never used any significant oil. The only time was when I had a slight leak at my oil filter and when down .5 to a litre of oil over 50 hours. It wasn't even that noticeable in the bilge water

What is this "dipstick" that you are talking about? The only time I look at it is when I fill the oil after a oil/filter change.

I haven't ever had a boat use any oil between changes.

My OB never uses oil. Always at the full mark when checked.

Mine doesn't burn any oil not a drop well maybe but not enough to sea a difference .

Not a drop. AFter it's turned over to fill the filter it stays right there!

mine could probably take a 1/4 or 1/2 a quart. i have put about 70 hours on it since i changed it last in march. my vdrive leaks oil tho and i have to check it periodically. it does not leaks alot tho, maybe 1/10th a quart for 10 hours. put about 15 hours on her this weekend alone.

Where is the filler cap located on the 07 lsv? Do you add oil to the same place you check the oil?

you have to take off the plastic engine cover to see it. it has a yellow penzoil sticker on my 08 lsv

Mine hasn't burned anything. Mixed use of slalom and wakeboarding.

Mine doesn't use any oil either. 2008 with about 165-170 hrs on it. So still very new though..
